Welcome to Caim National School

Welcome to our new Caim National School Website. We hope you enjoy reading all about our school and the activities we enjoy. Don’t forget to keep an eye on our class pages to see the latest class updates and what the children have been doing recently.

We enjoyed learning about the zoo for this month. We were trying to pick a favourite topic but it wasn’t easy because we have enjoyed so many of them! Our last topic for the year is summer. Among other things, we will be making lollies and milkshakes! Learning is fun!

3rd and 4th class are ready for summer after creating these mirrored sunglasses which reflect their ideal summers day!

Congratulations to the thirteen boys and girls who received the sacrament of First Communion on Saturday 25th May. Thank you to Fr Fegan for officiating on the day.

Well done to all the pupils who took part in the Wexford sports on Tuesday 21st May in Enniscorthy.

They managed to dodge the rain and had a great day taking part in the sprint races.

We took full advantage of the sunshine on Thursday with a visit to the playground and we had a little picnic outside!

The playground is a fantastic asset to the community and thanks to all involved. We are looking forward to lots more visits. Fingers crossed for lots more sunshine!

We do love Lego in Infants! Check out some of the brilliant things they have built this week!

The children enjoyed the 1st day of the new hot meals programme on Monday 22nd April. Everyone loved the tasty lunches. Remember to have your order in on the app before Thursdays at 12pm for delivery the following week

As part of Wellbeing week, we had the lovely Emma from Wexford Reiki in with us to show us some breathing exercises and yoga poses, practice positive affirmations and teach us gratitude. At the end of each session she demonstrated a quick sound bath for us using her wonderful instruments. The children really enjoyed this and only wished they had more time with Emma! Thanks to Emma for a wonderful day.

Well done to all the boys and girls in our school who took part in the annual spring clean of our community. We collected lots of rubbish from the roadside and the ditches.

As part of learning about the farm, Mr. Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Ruth brought in some animals! We had a lamb and a rabbit (called Hazel) in school.

Mr. Fitzpatrick needed ideas for names for his lamb so we had a very important job to do! We really loved having the animals and we learned lots about them ( Farmers don’t like cute rabbits! ) Thanks so much to Mrs Ruth, Tessa and Mr. Fitzpatrick.
