As part of Wellbeing week, we had the lovely Emma from Wexford Reiki in with us to show us some breathing exercises and yoga poses, practice positive affirmations and teach us gratitude. At the end of each session she demonstrated a quick sound bath for us using her wonderful instruments. The children really enjoyed this and only wished they had more time with Emma! Thanks to Emma for a wonderful day.

Well done to all the boys and girls in our school who took part in the annual spring clean of our community. We collected lots of rubbish from the roadside and the ditches.

3rd-6th class had a Christmas themed table quiz this week! They showed great knowledge in all of the rounds which tested them on Gaeilge, music, Christmas around the world, maths and other subjects! Well done to the team called ‘The Elves’ who came first place after reaching a tie breaker with another team.

3rd – 6th class also did some cool experiments with Catherine Doyle as part of Science week! We peeled layers from an onion, added iodine and looked at them through a microscope to see their cells. We also got to see Catherine make some elephants toothpaste. There were shrieks of delight as the foam expanded very quickly! Thank you Catherine!

What a spooktastic day we have had here in Caim NS! Well done to all of the boys and girls for making such an effort to dress up! Thank you to Ms. Murphy for organising a brilliant disco for all the classes too. We had so much fun! Check out our costumes!

Junior and Senior infants have been busy getting our classroom ready for Halloween by creating some spooky art! Click here for more pictures and don’t forget to come back to see what we get up to during the week!

1st and 2nd class have been examining some signs of autumn, and have learned lots about the season from all the lovely parts of nature that they have gathered!

1st class have been learning all about shapes this week. They had great fun today using tangrams.
