Check out the Senior Room’s challenge where they were asked to bring “Anything but a bag” to school on Tuesday! There were some outstanding and imaginative entries!

Our 6th Class pupils celebrated their Graduation Ceremony in our hall last night and it was lovely to see all their families present to mark the occasion with them as come to their end in Caim NS. Congratulations to you all and thank you for all the memories and commitment you gave to our school over the past 8 years!

The Infants travelled to Secret Valley for their school tour this week. There was lots of fun in the playground before they went on a tour of the farm. We hope everyone had a good day!

We had a great week for Active Week this year, with the sun beaming down on us for most of the week! The 6th class organised and ran lots of events during the week, starting each morning with our “Walk a Mile with a Smile” and then an active break at 10am. Between the breaks the Infants – 2nd class played games, did treasure hunts and did cosmic yoga, while the 1st – 6th class took part in a blitz every afternoon in soccer, gaelic football, rounders, basketball and doddgeball. On Monday the whole class went for a “Walk in the Woods” with past pupil Tom Cloney, thanks Tom! On Thursday we had our annual sports day with different stations for each class and then the races to finish the day. Well done everyone!

On Thursday 15th of June 4th, 5th and 6th Class took the trip to Kilruddery Estate in Bray to take part in Alive Outside! Some of us were familiar with the activities, having taken part in Hell and Back or watched Ireland’s Fittest Family! We had lots of fun completing the Bush Survival Challenge and toasting marshmallows on the open bonfire. We then climbed, jumped and pulled each other over the obstacles with some of us even making it up the dreaded eliminator ramp! After lunch we took to the water and jumped and slid into the lake before running around on the floats or jumping into the kayaks for a paddle! Well done everyone!

While the rest of the school were busy at their Blitz in Coolree, the Infants had a Friday Fun Day in Caim NS. Hazel and Peanut came to visit, courtesy of Anna and Tessa, and we all enjoyed pizza!

On Friday 16th June 1st -6th Class took part in a GAA football blitz organised by Amanda Scallon our GPO (games promotion officer) and Duffry Rovers GAA club. We all enjoyed the day, despite the rain! Thank you to Derek Watchorn, James Lawless and Shane Reddy who came to school on Friday 23rd to present the shield to us. Well done to all!

On Friday, 23rd June we were treated to yummy Ice-cream courtesy of our generous Parents Association. Thank you!

Junior and Senior infants have been very busy this month in Aistear. Their theme was ‘The Travel Agents’ Check out some pictures of everyone having great fun in the sunshine!
