Welcome to Caim National School

Welcome to our new Caim National School Website. We hope you enjoy reading all about our school and the activities we enjoy. Don’t forget to keep an eye on our class pages to see the latest class updates and what the children have been doing recently.

Huge well done to the quiz teams who represented our school in the Riverside on Sunday. They really did themselves, their families and their school proud.

Unfortunately, we didn’t progress to the next round but it was a close one!

Again, well done boys and girls and thank you to the families for their support.

We designed planets in art. They were so lovely, we displayed them in the window. We made some really cool spaceships and lots of other brilliant creations in lego. We used our playdough to make rockets, meteors, astronauts and aliens! We went on a space voyage, aka the sensory room. We enjoyed cosmic yoga👨‍🚀

Looking forward to next week as we get to try out our new bee bots and make space junk art! Well done boys and girls👏👏👏

I think this might be our favourite topic so far in Infants! We have learned loads and had so much fun doing so🛰🌌🚀👾☄️👨‍🚀.

We have had a lovely first week back in the infant classroom. We are really enjoying learning about space!

We wish all families and friends of Caim NS a very happy Christmas. School will close today, 22nd December and will reopen on Monday, 8th January 2024.

A lovely, fun-filled, high energy week in the infant classroom😅. We made hot chocolate, went to mass, visited the crib, worked in Santa’s workshop, made some fabulous Christmas trees in art, ate pizza, wore our Christmas jumpers, did our festive exercises and had lots of playtime! Roll on 12pm tomorrow and let the holidays begin🎅.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and safe Christmas.

Congratulations to the winners of the A final, Kerry who beat Tyrone.

And well done to the winners of the B final, where Wexford beat Dublin.

Thanks to all involved, especially Mr. Fitzpatrick and Mr. Kavanagh.

3rd-6th class had a Christmas themed table quiz this week! They showed great knowledge in all of the rounds which tested them on Gaeilge, music, Christmas around the world, maths and other subjects! Well done to the team called ‘The Elves’ who came first place after reaching a tie breaker with another team.
