6th class have been learning all about the Aboriginal people in History. We learned about how they lived, worked and communicated. One interesting thing we explored was how they used boomerangs and what they were used for in hunting. We were very lucky to experience throwing a boomerang outside.
This week we had the privilege to welcome a past Principal of Caim NS, Mr Gerard Beggan. 2021 marks the 60th anniversary of his departure from the school. A lot has changed in those 60 years, including a new school. Gerard recalls fondly his years spent teaching here. He kindly gifted the school €1,000 to be used for the provision of Maths equipment and resources, a subject Gerard feels passionately about and has worked tirelessly on throughout his career. Thank you Mr Beggan, from all of us here in Caim NS
Congratulations to the thirteen boys and girls who received their first Communion on Saturday 2nd October. We hope you had a wonderful day.
Well done to these pupils who have recently showed off some of their hard work at assembly!
Junior Infants have been making great use of our new interactive whiteboard by using it in lots of different ways, including this fantastic rhyming game!
6th class have hit the ground running in September creating an array of colourful art.
Best wishes to the thirteen boys and girls who will finally receive the sacrament of First Communion on Saturday 2nd October 2021 in Caim church. We hope you have an enjoyable and memorable day.
Well done to 3rd class who recited a poem as Gaeilge today at our outdoor assembly. Maith sibh! Also well done to some 6th class members who read their recount writing for everyone. They did a fantastic job! Another well done goes to some members of 4th class for reading out their profiles as Gaeilge. It’s clear to see that we have already learned so much since coming back to school!
